Monday Night Fun

Warm air means carnivals, & carnivals mean whack-a-mole games. Does anyone know if you actually compete for stuffed animals in this game? My recollection is, that the game is so fun, there are no prizes. In retrospect, this is a shame at a carnival, filled with overstuffed Tweety Birds & what not.

I've got a case of the Mondays, so, instead of working on shirts or painting, I went for a jog with Danielle, & then made pasta.

This will give me time to plug artists that are always working:

What do stuffed doughnuts, cupcakes, & grilled cheeses have in common? They're all the work of stuffed artistic genius Heidi Kennedy, proprietor of MyPaperCrane.com. Be sure to check out her blog, which she updates daily with pictures of stuffed wonders.

The following are some of my favorite artist's/illustrators websites. Have fun!

Cats & Dogs

Is anyone familar with the ice-cream Chubby-Hubby (Ben & Jerrys)? Upon Rebecca's recommendation, I tried it for the first time tonight. It's a combination of ice-cream, peanut-butter, fudge, & pretzels. The amazing part is that the pretzels are still crunchy by the time you open the pint. true science.

Also speaking of food, I was the lucky dinner guest at Gisel & Nadav's last night, where I was served Nadav's special home-made hummus. We listened to the Muffin World soundtrack, which they had found. I hadn't heard it in years, & was DELIGHTED. I was also the lucky winner of a scratch-off ticket, "Lucky Dog" - net profit, 2 USD.

Once I'm not so lazy, I'll post more images of the shirts I'm making for the Renegade Craft Fair. Tonight I finished making one of an ice-cream cone (vanilla), dripping.

If you haven't done so already, go to Amy Ruppel's website, amyruppel.com. She makes amazing paintings. For those of you that live in Park Slope, the coffee bar/diner Perch has her work on their walls.

Also, go to lucyology.com, which is Amy & Leo's T-Shirt company/website. Their tees are soft, very well crafted, & AWESOME. They'll be at the Renegade Craft Fair in June too.

Thursday

This is Bubbleman, a reproduction of an old Pez dispenser (also Bubbleman), saving a baby, who's saving a bear.

News

1) There has been a meowing cat outside my window for 8 months. It's loud, & sounds like a baby crying. It's meowing right
now.
2) I switched to lemon-lime seltzer instead of original - delicious.
3) Still getting ready for the Renegade Craft Fair in June. I'm sewing a little kid's tiger t-shirt currently.
4) I got my first mosquito bite of the season, & am extremely concerned that the bug is in my apt.
5) Started eating pickles again regularly.
6) Creating a coloring book, which should be very fun. Thrilled.

Time for more seltzer. Enjoy your night everybody!

xoxo

San Francisco Show!

Hi All,

This is the (wonderful) show postcard for a group show in San Francisco that I'm in. If you're in the area, the show opens on April 13th. It's at the Crucible Stell Gallery @ Cell Space, 2050 Bryant Street, San Francisco, CA 94110.

Check out more information about the gallery at: www.cellspace.org.

The artists are all RISD graduates & make amazing art.

Okay, I'm off to the dentist now to get a cavity filled (it's my molar).

Crazier Things Have Happened?

The face of Saddam Hussein showed up in the light fixture on my ceiling. This came as a surprise to me.

I have included two versions - one, which is contrasted to help you see the image, & one which is not.

If you believe this figure to be someone else, please let me know.

On a much more normal note, please enjoy a picture of the t-shirt I made for Susie. If you haven't visited her website/purchased one of her creations, then here's your chance to join 2006 & the rest of the world - boygirlparty.com. She makes wonderful everythings, & it was such an honor to make her a t-shirt. thanks susie!!!!
