Chickens? Birds?

Last week was my final week at the auction house. I've been doing finance for the last 4 years, first at Christie's and then at Robert Siegel Auction Galleries. June also marked being out of school for five years.

For the first time since I graduated from RISD, I'm pursuing art seriously. The picture above was a test in a medium I haven't used in a long time, oil/wax crayons. I don't know if they're chickens or birds, but it was nice to get back into the crayons again.

It's wonderful to be at home enjoying my neighborhood and relaxing. Earlier this afternoon, I went to the park to lay in the Sun and read. Several things are coming up, including a works on paper show at AS220 that I'll be participating in and a trip to Australia in August with Elspeth.
